Raftree kicked off the show at Starland Ballroom on September 30, 2017. They were the main support for a Pink Floyd Tribute band called The Machine. Raftree is a four-piece original rock band from Union County, New Jersey. Their band members consist of Kenneth Raftree (lead vocals, guitar), Andrew Roland (drummer), Ed Tuberion (bassist, vocals), and Charles Alaimo (lead guitar, vocals). Their heavy guitar riffs and catchy drum beats sound similar to that of Stone Temple Pilots. Raftree has played festivals such as the Jersey Shore Music Festival in Seaside Heights, which featured over 200 musical acts, the Rock Carnival, and Hub City Sounds Festival in New Brunswick. The band Raftree has opened up for national touring acts such as Drowning Pool, Skid Row, Sevendust, and Adrenaline Mob. Raftree has also performed at several venues all over the tri-state area. Anyone who has never listened to Raftree is in for a treat. Raftree has a 4 track self-titled EP which includes their #1 hit single “What I Say”. You can check out their music on Spotify and Reverbnation. Raftree is working on a second EP that will be released sometime in 2018.
