How long have has I Hate Heroes been a band

We’ve been a band for a little over 2 years. We released our first EP in the fall of 2014.

If you could describe your band in 3 words what would they be?

It’s a little difficult to some up your passion in 3 words as you know. But three words I would use are – well I guess passion, energy, and truth. We don’t like to put up a front or sugar coat things musically. I write what I really feel and think.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is pizza of any kind.

What describes your inspirations for the songs you write?

My greatest inspiration lyrically is real life experience. I won’t write about anything that I haven’t been through or believe in myself. Fans message me and say they appreciate the lyrics and connect with them which is cool because it reinforces what we’re doing. I consider myself a writer which is why lyrics are so important to me and I’m glad people can appreciate them.

What is one think you would like everyone to know about IHH?

One thing everyone to know about IHH is how much we genuinely we appreciate the support from fans, friends, family and everyone who has gotten us to this point because we wouldn’t be able to do it without you guys.

Who in the band takes the longest to get ready before a show?

Nick takes the longest to get ready.

Who is your favorite band to listen to?

My favorite band to listen to is Pierce the Veil. They have some of the most amazing lyrics that I’ve ever heard.. Bulletproof Love is my favorite song. I met Vic Fuentes when we played a few of the Warped Dates a couple years back after one of the BBQ’s, and he was so nice and down to Earth. After PTV, I’d have to say A Day To Remember and Ice Nine Kills are my other two favorite bands.

How is the new album you are working on coming along?

Our new album is great, and I cannot wait to release new music. We’re very proud of it. I’m having a very hard time keeping it from people. It’s definitely going to showcase how far we have all come as musicians. We don’t have a release date set as of right now because we are waiting for a few things that are in the works behind the scenes. I’ve never been so confident in a release before.

Any sneak peeks?

We’ve posted one video as a sneak peek so far which was 30 seconds of raw vocals. What genre of music would you label your band?

If I had to label us, I would consider IHH post-hardcore, but there is definitely something for everyone. There’s singing, screaming, acoustics, etc. One song on our new album has a pop punk sound to it. Our new album as a whole is very diverse.

What can we expect to see in the next 6 months?

In the next 6 months, we plan on doing a lot of touring with the completion of our full length album. We’re also going to continue to write, and we’re going to try and hit the road as much as possible.

Have you decided on a name for your new and upcoming album?

Our new album does have a name, but unfortunately I can’t spill that yet.

It was great talking to you Ephraim. I would love to catch up again when your album is released!

For sure Diane that would be great. I will be looking forward to it~
